Samsung Tocco Review   Tocco F480 Review

The Samsung f480 Tocco is a blast to play with. It has a sleek and slim design. It is a touchscreen phone with a sliding bar on the side of its main screen that allows you to fully customize your home screen. With a flick of your fingers, you can add or remove widgets from the drag and drop interface. Some of the items that you can drag to over include pictures, a calendar, and a music player. This adds a unique level of customization not seen on most phones.

The 5 megapixel camera with led flash is a really impressive feature. It will have you taking crystal clear pictures that can normally only be taken with an expensive digital camera.

The keypad is a little bit of a disappointment as they elected to put in a traditional keypad instead of a qwerty based one. This makes texting and emailing a slow process for people used to using the landscape style qwerty keyboard.

It is a 3g phone, but lacks the wifi function. It has bluetooth capabilities as well.

Overall, this is a really sleek and stylish phone. It is very functional with a great 5mp camera, video recorder, and even a flashlight to boot. They make the Samsung tocco in the original black color, a shiny brown, and a fashionable pink color. The Samsung Tocco gets 4.5 stars out of 5 in this review.

Samsung Tocco Lite Review  Tocco Lite Review

The Tocco Lite or S5230 is a cool looking slimmed down version of the F480. It is a great deal for someone who wants a touch based phone, without the high prices that you see with similar featured phones. It contains the touch based interface Touchwiz that has become popular with the full sized version. It has a very similar feel to the LG Cookie that was recently released, and Samsung has looked to compete with them with this phone.

The phone comes packaged with a battery charger, usb cable, headphones, and a battery. It is about the same size as the original Tocco and is in many ways similar in design. It has a cool matte finish that feels nice to touch.

The Samsung Tocco Lite has bluetooth, video recording, camera (which is 3.2 megapixel), drag and drop interface, mp3 player, and organizer.

Some of the features that have been left off of the Tocco Lite are wifi capabilities, and the ever popular 3G. This helps to bring the price down considerably for this phone.

With so many cool gadgets, and with the price being very good, the Samsung Tocco Lite gets two thumbs up and 4 stars in this review.

Samsung Tocco Ultra Review  Tocco Ultra review

The Samsung Tocco Ultra, also known as the S8300, is an upgraded version of the first Tocco. It now comes with a slideout keyboard, a beautiful new led screen, 8 megapixel camera,  You decide whether to use the touchscreen or keypad, and an fm radio.

A cool thing about the S8300 is that it comes with some nice quality earbuds. The phone has a nice feel to it, as it is not too large and feels nice in your hand. It has a Matte brushed metal look to the casing, and the screen is nice and glossy. The phone slides up revealing a keypad for dialing and texting. The slider also feels nice, as it easily glides up the tracks with a flick of the thumb.

It comes with a 1gb micro sd memory card, which allows you to store a decent amount of movies and music, and pictures. It has the drag and drop widget feature that is pretty standard on the other Tocco phones. It is a cool feature that allows users to customize their desktop by sliding over phone applications such as your mp3 player and calendar. The Tocco Ultra's desktop is a scrolling backdrop that allows you to keep your apps in different locations, and can find them easily.

The downside to the Samsung Tocco Ultra is that the touchscreen can sometimes be too sensitive by opening apps without your intent. It has a nice screen, but can give a slight glare when using it outdoors, and you have to slide the phone open to use the camera.

Overall it is a really nice phone that has a couple of small annoyances. Overall I give this phone 4 out of 5 stars.
